Here at McMillan Music we specialize in green initiatives, innovation & technology and endless customization. While some things have changed we still pride ourselves on being the industry leader in band instrument lubricants and manufacturing. For the past 67 years, McMillan Music has been a family run business and has managed to have all their products made in the USA.
David Duane took over McMillan Music in 2017 and has brought his entrepreneurial spirit into the business, allowing for growth, but still maintaining the “mom-and-pop shop” feel, something that is missing in a lot of modern day businesses.

David Duane took over as President of McMillan Music when his uncle, Don McMillan, retired in 2017. David grew up in the business as his mother, Don’s sister, brought young David to the factory at a young age. David has been involved ever since, not just filling orders of the band and orchestra accessories they produce, but developing a true passion for the industry! David proudly explained the company all began in his grandparent’s basement when his uncle befriended Louie Armstrong and Duke Ellington and supplied them with valve oil and cork grease. As President of the company, David continues to look for new opportunities and products he can create to help support the industry he loves.
